Ivy House is a stunning country cottage situated within the North Yorks Moors National Park in the conservation village of Cold Kirby. Originally constructed in the mid 1800s, the old Post Office has recently undergone an extensive restoration to create a luxurious home full of character. With underfloor heating throughout and 2 cosy log burners, the cottage is built with a mix of traditional limestone and a contemporary green oak frame. With a well equipped luxury kitchen, cast-iron slipper bath and large powerful showers, this privately owned and managed home provides superb accommodation 2-8 guests and welcome up to 2 well behaved pets.
The Garden surrounds the house and is an enclosed ¼ acre with mature flower beds, lawns and large sheltered patio area with seating for 8 people; plenty of space for rest and play. A wide gravelled driveway provides off-road parking for 6 vehicles.
Cold Kirby is a peaceful 'no-through' village situated on the western fringes of the park midway between the picturesque towns of Helmsley and Thirsk. The Cleveland Way runs through the village and there are miles of biking trails on the doorstep; the local area is teeming with deer, hares and birds.
